Access to contraception is critical to an individual’s autonomy, equality, and ability to participate in the social, economic, and political life of the nation. These bills expand access to birth control to patients that are at least 18 years of age. They allow pharmacists to prescribe and dispense birth control such as patches and oral contraceptive pills. They also require health plans to cover birth control.
