S.B. 7 increases policing capacity in downtown Indianapolis and creates the Marion County Crime Reduction Board. The Marion County Crime Reduction Board is compiled of hospital police, university police, city police, county sheriff, state police, federal police agencies, and the Lucas Oil Stadium and Pacer private security. SB 7 allows board members to enter and approve interoperability agreements, that will increase law enforcement agencies' jurisdiction, duties, and responsibilities in downtown Indianapolis.
SB 7 will give police the power to act as an occupying force in low-income communities and communities of color across Marion County, funded by astronomical sums of taxpayer dollars.
