Hoosiers: Let's Celebrate the Constitution!

Teachers, students, parents and friends: Welcome to this page. We hope you will use the resources here, designed for K-12 students, to celebrate the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights. Our founding documents define the freedoms we hold dear in this country, and provide the basis by which justice can be determined in our courts of law. The ACLU is dedicated to defending constitutional rights and protecting liberties for future generations of Americans, which is why we celebrate Constitution Day every year on September 17.* Please use these materials on Constitution Day and throughout the year to foster a greater understanding of the beauty and timeless value of constitutional rights in a free society and in the Hoosier state.

To advance the slide show, place your cursor on a slide and arrows will appear. A guide to presenting the slide show is available through a link on the right.

*Sept. 17, 2016 falls on a Saturday, so this year's observation of Constitution Day will take place on Friday, Sept. 16.
