THE CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT OF PRIVACY

The “right of privacy” is nowhere to be found in the enumerated rights in the Bill of Rights. Yet, the notion of privacy has been used by the Supreme Court to recognize both rights that are now well-ingrained, e.g. family rights, and those that still provoke controversy, e.g. reproductive rights. This seminar will explore the rise of privacy as a constitutional concept and its many
manifestations.
