A lifelong advocate for civil liberties, McKenzie Conrad views her work as a way to connect people, mobilize communities, and ignite progress. With a background that bridges policy and messaging, she has worked both to translate complex debates at the Statehouse under multiple administrations and to lead content strategy in the legal field. Those experiences showed her how clear, intentional communication can shape public understanding and influence the policies that govern our lives. At the ACLU of Indiana, she brings that expertise to advancing the organization’s mission of defending rights and expanding freedoms for all.

She holds a B.S. in Arts Management and Law and Public Policy and is pursuing her Master of Public Affairs at Indiana University. Outside of work, she is active in local arts initiatives, passionate about climate and animal advocacy, and enjoys traveling and reading.
