Early Voting (SB 284)

  • Status: Failed
  • Position: Oppose

This bill would reduce early voting from 28 days prior to the Saturday before an election to just two weeks. It would also reduce early voting with absentee ballots from two weeks to one.

We oppose this bill because it would make voting harder, not easier. At a time when voter turnout in Indiana is among the lowest in the nation, elected officials should be focused on increasing opportunities for voting, not taking them away.
