The movie also looks at how Ginsburg pushed the American Civil Liberties Union to properly address women’s rights issues. Her experiences with sex discrimination inspired her to lead the ACLU Women’s Rights Project which launched in 1972. She directed the Project throughout the decade of the 1970s, bringing case after case to the U.S. Supreme Court and establishing Constitutional protection against sex discrimination. Today her legacy continues through the ACLU’s work to advance women’s equality and end discrimination in all its forms.
