Join us for a free film showing at the Kan-Kan cinema of 'The Devil is Busy.' There will be a 45-minute discussion after the film with representatives from Hoosier Jews for Choice, the Good Trouble Coalition, ACLU Indiana, and Indiana Task Force. There will also be tables in the lobby from Common Cause Indiana and Path4You. We welcome you to stay and speak with the panelists about the work they're engaged in, and how to get involved in the fight for reproductive access in Indiana. Whether you’re seeking birth control, support during pregnancy, or access to all available options, we all face challenges. Together, we can push for policies to strengthen maternal health systems in Indiana and ensure that all Hoosiers can make decisions rooted in freedom, dignity, and care. This event is hosted by the Indiana Reproductive Health and Access Coalition in partnership with All-Options and Planned Parenthood.

Join the ACLU of Indiana, the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library, and Indy Reads for the first discussion in our 2026 Banned Book Club, themed Dignity & Freedom to Read. We’ll kick off the series with The Magic Fish by Trung Le Nguyen, a powerful graphic novel that explores identity, family, and the importance of being able to see ourselves reflected in stories. As efforts to censor books and restrict discussions of race, gender, and lived experience continue to grow, this book club creates space to read, reflect, and celebrate the freedom to access diverse voices and ideas.

Organizations and individual activists are invited to join the ACLU of Indiana’s Valparaiso LGBTQ+ Popular Education Summit on April 18th, from 9:00 AM–4:30 PM CST at Trinity Lutheran Church in Valparaiso. This free, high-impact, one-day training experience is designed to give you the tools to organize, mobilize, and lead in this critical moment. Together, we’ll learn in community: strengthening our collective ability to cooperate across organizations, build solidarity for LGBTQ+ rights, and engage effectively in local and statewide campaigns that protect the civil rights of all Hoosiers. Learn the importance of story telling in building support in your advocacy efforts and how op-eds can build support in your community and with decision-makers. This month's theme is "Authentic Storytelling + Op-eds" This training is designed for our business leader collective but is open to all interested advocates. This series runs bi-monthly, complementing our volunteer-centered Organizer Series. These trainings are virtual and occur every other month. Each training will cover a different topic and will teach distinct advocacy skills. The topics to be covered are: June: Convening + Relational Organizing August: Communication Tactics: Phone Calls, Letter Writing, Postcard Parties and Petitions October: Get Out the Vote
