Between September 15 and October 15, we celebrate the culture and independence days of various Latin American countries. Hispanic Heritage Month is recognized and celebrated in all kinds of ways, some of which can lead to tokenism and lack of awareness of issues facing the Latinx community.

ACLU Sues Monroe County Sheriff for Hiding Comments on the Sheriff’s Department’s Facebook Page
The American Civil Liberties Union of Indiana filed a lawsuit Wednesday against the Monroe County Sheriff, for hiding Facebook comments critical of the Sheriff’s Department’s assistance in enforcing federal immigration law.
Victory: Appeals Court Upholds Block on Unconstitutional Abortion Restrictions
The 7th Circuit Court of Appeals today upheld a preliminary injunction against a restrictive abortion law, SEA 404, that would have imposed undue burdens on minors' personal medical decisions.
